PEORIA — There were new leaders in almost every event of the 93rd annual Brothers Tournament after last weekend’s squads at Landmark Lanes.With just two weekends remaining in the event, Brandon Borneman and Duane Fleming took over the scratch and handicap leads in the Brothers division with a 1,427.
Defending champions Bob and Mike Baker made a run at the leaders and are in fifth place with a 1,348.
After a slow start, Mike Baker closed out the day with strikes on 23 of his final 24 shots, closing a 775 set with 279 and 300.
He missed the lead in the scratch singles by one pin. Last season, Bob Baker rolled a trey to help the team to the title. In the Brothers-in-law division, Dan Walker and Rob Johnson are the new leaders after posting a 1,361.
