I met Charlotte, YLD’s Head of Operations, for the first time after being confirmed for the internship position.
The thing is, YLD really does care about its workers.
Discussions with employees had me learning about their 3 months of sick leave and 6 months of fully paid maternity and paternity leave for full-time workers.
I spoke to the Executive Vice President of Professional Services, Luke, about the company and what they actually did, because at that point all I knew about YLD was that it had something to do with technology and consulting.
But I found out employees there did a little more than that.
YLD have their own R&D division, and employees have two months off a year to work on their own projects there, and focus on innovation.
