We had no idea what we wanted to order so we were looking at the menu and we got asked 6x if we knew what we wanted, this wouldn't have bothered me but I swear one of the girls actually rolled her eyes when I told her the rest of our party wasn't ready to order.
We didn't go during busy lunch hour, we weren't holding up the line, other people came and ordered while we were there.
But if you're someone who is sensitive to bad customer service, I might skip this place.
Or at the very least avoid the lunch hour or big groups! They had a few other pieces of fish, some things left in the deli-like section. It is located in a fun shopping strip with all buildings dating back to the Japanese village origins in the 1920's.
I was disappointed there was not more variety of fresh fish. We bought Mahi Mahi first (by the time we got there that was all that was left to feed four). Later in the week we bought "Monchong" which is pomfret. If you like cooking fish, buy it here when you stay near Koloa (Poipu).
On our recent visit, we enjoyed ono wahoo one day and monchong pomfret another, which we took back to our condo to grill on a bbq.
We also had a delicious tub of ocean salad to spruce up our plates, island-style.
